Chief Financial Officer
This area manages the design, development and execution of those strategies aimed at managing the bank's finances, being responsible for generating and reporting financial information. From this reporting function, the Investor Relations office serves the community of investors who own the bank's securities. The bank's provisioning and purchases, budgeting of operating expenses, analytical cost accounting and the managing of real estate business development strategies, both in own assets and in foreclosed assets, are also managed from Finance department.
It is up to this area to control the investment, management and enhancement strategies of the investee companies portfolio It also supports projects in the field of fintech, regtech and insurtech start-ups, along with the bank's parafinancial services and advises companies in M&A transactions in the middle market.

General manager for IT, data, processing and operations
His duties are essentially focused on maximising the efficiency of the technological architecture, engineering, the development and operation of the IT applications and infrastructure as well as the processes, the innovation and the implementation of project and general services aimed at operational excellence and cost efficiency.

This department is responsible for the recruitment, retention, management, development and training of the human capital of the bank, by implementing the organisational best practices and the development of human talent the organisation requires. It is also responsible for the management and strengthening of the corporate climate and its cultural values.

Market capital, institutional management and distribution
Manages the strategies and the development of products in the areas of financial, foreign Exchange and derivative markets, as well as the strategies and the development of the Treasury offices and those of Own Treasury and the duties of back office. He is also in charge of the specialised marketing of mutual funds and pension plans aimed at bank customers and managed through a variety of channels and the management of institutional clients.

Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Communication.
The mission of this department is to integrate within the governance of the entity those management elements that are necessary to implement a responsible, citizen-oriented company that contributes to a sustainable development to the satisfaction of stakeholders and is able to transparently communicate both externally and internally the real possibilities of assistance and support to the needs of society in coordination with Afundación. At the same time, it centralises the relationship with mass media and social networks and well as the relations the bank establishes with a variety of institutions and organisations.

Credit
For the purpose of preserving the best quality of the investment portfolio and facilitate the sustainable growth of the entity with an adequate risk-adjusted return, this area has the mission of managing the design, development and implementation of strategies for the management of credit risk. This department is therefore responsible for aligning and adapting the Admission and Analysis of credit risk to the risk profile defined by the Bank. The staff of this area are in charge of promoting a good instrumentation and formalisation of the main asset products to minimise the operational risk and ensuring the consistency of collaterals, as well as ensuring effective risk monitoring of the outstanding credit that faithfully support the correct classification of the loan portfolio. They are also responsible for the management of the strategies and the development of the recoveries area, which includes the functions and recovery processes of large companies or corporations, businesses, mass recovery (both SMES and households).Thus, these functions must be performed in accordance with the organisation's strategic planning and the regulations in force at both national and international levels.

His duties are essentially focused on the management of the design, development and implementation of the marketing strategies for non-resident customers and foreign trade, as well as the management and operation of the international commercial management, in the different countries where the entity has operational offices (Portugal, Miami, Mexico and Geneva) and representative offices abroad aimed at retaining and attracting new customers, ensuring the delivery of quality services and cost-efficient management.

This department is in charge of the design, development and implementation of the strategies for the identification, monitoring, control and risk mitigation, prevention of losses and business continuity of the bank, ensuring a correct implementation of management strategies in accordance with the norms and regulations, the interests of stakeholders and the complexity of the operations, products and services of the organisation.

Corporate governance and legal affairs
It is part of the second line of defence of the bank and its main responsibilities are legal and tax counselling for the entity, the Secretary’s Office of the Board of Director and its Commissions ensuring the application and updating of the System of Corporate Governance of the Bank in accordance with the governance best practices as well as compliance with statutory duties, including the prevention of money laundering, the financing of terrorism and Customer service.

Strategic Planning and PMO
This area combines the functions of strategic planning, data governance and the monitoring of projects of ABANCA, ensuring the coordination between them and the strategic objectives of our organisation. It defines the strategy of the Bank with sound financial forecasting and projection models, where high levels of execution are guaranteed in terms of leverage in alignment, strategic focus and execution control of the established goals. In addition, it promotes the transformation process of the Bank through the execution of the project portfolio complying with deadlines, budget and value promise.

The relationship with the Bank's customers is concentrated in this Department. Under a model of high specialization both in individuals (Private Banking, Personal Banking, Customer Value Banking, Self-Employed and other segments) and in legal persons (Businesses, SMEs, Companies and Corporate). A fundamental premise of this Department is to actively listen to the needs of customers, with a view to anticipating their potential demands. The more than 700 branches in Spain allow us to carry out local banking within an omnichannel relationship model, where the client decides at all times how to relate to the Bank.

Means of Payment and Consumer
With a clear customer vision and focusing on innovation, quality management and working under "Agile" methodologies, this area, designs, develops and implements strategies for the progress of the Consumer and Payment Methods business, taking advantage of the opportunities of the environment or creating new ones. Simultaneously, this department coordinates the management, planning and control of the financial company ABANCA SERVICIOS FINANCIEROS EFC, S.A., which has a leading position in the market for consumer financing in Spain. The members of this area assume, therefore, the responsibility to comply with legal regulations and compliance with the business plan with a clear impetus of digital transformation. For this purpose, they design products, services, commercial actions and campaigns necessary to meet our customers’ needs and place ourselves among the best market practices. Their work represents the Bank in different organisations: Visa, MasterCard, processors, or licensees; and they establish with them all synergies that benefit the entities and customers.

In this area, the evolution of the Bank's business model is designed and developed, taking into account the corporate values and objectives that are summarized in one emotion: Common Feeling. Listening and responding to the client with transparency and honesty, with closeness and simplicity. At the strategic level, he identifies, creates and takes advantage of opportunities offered by both the environment and the market, trying to anticipate trends and needs to solve for clients. At the tactical level, it designs the systematics and commercial offer demanded by the different segments, generating actions that make the strategy a reality with scope and an omnichannel approach, taking care of the details to provide the best customer experience with a long-term relationship vision. Additionally, the area is responsible for other functions at the service of networks such as marketing and customer intelligence, aimed at attracting, developing and retaining customers.
